A project that uses so many acronyms! It’s the NSF UCAR RAF.
That stands for National Science Foundation (NSF) University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) Research Aviation Facility (RAF).
(Phew!)
Some of the work done at the RAF is the culmination of a scientist’s whole career. Making an HQ for that is a wonderfully daunting task. Throughout the process we got to know and understand what (very cool) stuff is being done here and infuse their own flight paths and photos and data into their space.
